9-Way CPU Coolers Roundup Posted by : Nohr on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 - 12:06 AM
| |
"Most of us start thinking about better CPU cooler when summer heats has already arrived. A lot of users keep their rigs overclocked 24/7 and this can be a problem when temperatures during summer months raise. This can result in overheating of some components and in worst case scenario some of those components can be irretrievably damaged. In most cases CPU is the biggest problem, because default (box) coolers that came with CPUs are not too efficient. So, what cooler to choose? We are offering you a little bit longer answer to that question, but we reckon that it will be worth reading. "

"OCZ is well known for their memory and power supplies, but we thought we'd see just how well their current fleet of CPU coolers held up. We pit the Vendetta, Vendetta 2, Vanquisher and even the old-school Vindicator against our QX6850 to see what each one is made of."

Thermaltake MaxOrb CPU Cooler Review Posted by : Nohr on Monday, July 30, 2007 - 07:35 PM

"The Tt MaxOrb performed well and is right in-line with other coolers of its type - and this is with warm ambient temperatures. The speed control functioned smoothly and when on high speed, the noise from the fan was barely noticeable. The LED's cast a nice, blue glow which highlights the fins without being overpowering."
